Siena by night

Night strolling in SienaWe went to Tuscany a couple of weeks ago and managed to squeeze in a few days in Pisa, Florence and Siena where this shot was taken. Everywhere you look there were fantastic opportunities for pictures. I would recommend you visit Tuscany for the incredible atmosphere, awesome food and Chianti and fascinating historical nourishment around every corner. The only thing that got in the way slightly was the 40 degree heat during the day, but we discovered that by getting up early you could avoid the crowds and sail through the cool streets. Go and have a look at my Flickr site for more photos: http://www.flickr.com/photos/37505542@N03

Thanks Helly, I did try and go beyond the usual tourist pictures, but it was hard as those landmarks are so arresting you can’t help but want to capture their essence to take away with you.
